Here are photos of my Saddle Company Verona Cob GP Saddle. It's an ex-demo saddle so I got it for a reduced price but it's been re-flocked and checked over for soundness. It's also been re-templated to a wither template I took from Pip. It's leather on top but synthetic underneath and very light to pick up. The saddle seat has memory foam in it.

I haven't had the chance to try it yet Valerie. We've had fog & rain all week

Send the rain here - our ground is like concrete and no grass growing. Saddle looks like it will be very comfy for both you and Pip.

I tried the saddle this evening and Pip seemed to go well in it. It stayed straight and didn't tip to the right which the Wintec did. It's very comfortable too so I'm keeping my fingers crossed. I still think I need a breastplate though although I've tried 2 full size one's and they were both too small.

Sounds promising. Harvey has a full size breast plate on the very last hole! You might need an extra-full and have the bit that goes under the belly shortened.
