AREA 16 DALES CAMP AUGUST 2011
Once again we will be holding a three day camp at Tanya Bridgeman’s yard at Wickenby near Market Rasen, Lincolnshire on Wednesday 24th, Thursday 25th and Friday 26th August this year. People will be welcome to arrive on the Tuesday to settle their ponies in and the camp is open to non-dales ponies as well, with a maximum of 8.
One of the aims of the camp will be to help people prepare their ponies for all the Performance Show which takes place the weekend after camp. However, Tanya will tailor sessions to suit all individuals and will help with any particular issues they wish to work on.
The cost will be £45 per day for the tuition which will include one private lesson and also some form of shared lesson/activity. For those who wish, there will be an opportunity to have a play at a local cross country course (cost extra).
Grass livery will be available at a cost of £5 per night. We will set up individual pens with electric fencing within one paddock. Participants will be responsible for caring for their pony and poo picking the paddock before leaving. Any damages to be paid for.
There will be plenty of camping space for the participants with washing facilities etc in the house. There are some local B&Bs if people prefer and I will forward a list to those who are interested.
Lunch will be provided for those who want at a charge of £5.50 to £6.50 a day (we will cost it nearer the time). This will include tea, coffee and cold drinks through out the day as well and will need to be paid for on arrival.
As in previous years, it is expected that we will have a pub meal one night, a take away on another and a barbecue on another. All these meals will be extra and not included in the price of the clinic.
We are asking for a deposit of £50 to secure a place on the camp. This will only be refundable if we can find another person to take your place. Cheques should be made out to me - please PM me for address and also if you have any queries or would like more information.
Spectators are also welcome.
