this morning and without any problems. Easy birth, babe was up and suckling in no time and Leia cleansed on her own, everyone was settled in time for lunch. What a civilised mare she is I hope his Dad is proud of his first-born. Whose side of the family does he take after? ;D So here's the little man and not quite so little, he's big and bold, just a small star and not another bit of white on him. His coat is very black and soft and wavy - and he is very cute and quite independent already, he's driving Leia wild, she's trying to protect him, he wants to know everyone and everything that's going on. I love this pic, it shows him going another way and Leia just realising she's losing him no name yet, his sire is Tarbal Matthew, dam is Killington Princess Leia and we want to revert to our 'military' theme for boy names this year, so any ideas?

What a lovely foal! With Leia as mum, and the stunning Matthew as Dad, he cannot help but be good looking!! Mmm ...... hope you have not got an Oliver in the making there - into everything

Soldier! He's soldiering off on his own ;D I positively love that last pic with Leia. In fact, I'm sure I saw a mum in the grocery store with the exact same exasperated look as she turned around to realize hers had toddled off too Let's see, Scouts go off in advance like that checking to make sure a perimeter is safe, or where the enemy troops are. And Snipers, but I'm not sure that's quite what you'd want. Luetenant (though I have no idea how to spell it ) as a nod back to Leia? Or General as he seems to have his own ideas about things What an adorable chap, and such lovely legs. Congrats all around

Congratulations - he's gorgeous! Poor mum, he'll drive her round the bend!
What about Commander? because he probably will be. Captain might suit him if he's going to be a big boy.
