this morning and without any problems. Easy birth, babe was up and suckling in no time and Leia cleansed on her own, everyone was settled in time for lunch.
What a civilised mare she is
I hope his Dad is proud of his first-born. Whose side of the family does he take after? ;D
So here's the little man
and not quite so little, he's big and bold, just a small star and not another bit of white on him. His coat is very black and soft and wavy - and he is very cute
and quite independent already, he's driving Leia wild, she's trying to protect him, he wants to know everyone and everything that's going on. I love this pic, it shows him going another way and Leia just realising she's losing him
no name yet, his sire is Tarbal Matthew, dam is Killington Princess Leia and we want to revert to our 'military' theme for boy names this year, so any ideas?
