Testing photo upload, trying to compress as previously file too big. Bit worried about grass - have moved them to paddock. Looks lusher than is - lots of rushes and sparse patches. Ponies looked dappled today. What do you think? Attachments:

It does look very green, or is that just the photo colours? We are having a very obvious Autumnal flush, thanks to an unusually wet August. I daren't move mine onto the re-grown hay paddock where they would normally rotate to next. I think you may need to be cautious

It's really very dificult to know. I was just talking to some one who moved their lami prone pony onto a very sparse, weedy bit of paddock and it promptly came down with lami. I think there are so many factors involved (both from the lami and the weight gain point of view) - type of grass, soil type etc etc Your grass looks very green but not too dense and I think you will be OK. If you are concerned about their weight can you muzzle them or strip graze?
