Beat me to it Alison! Thank you Yes, there are two events to put in your diary so far. Number 1 as Alison mentions, is at Selby, courtesy of the Smiths, on Saturday 24th March. These clinics were very successful and enjoyed by riders and ponies with different levels of experience. They are aimed at building confidence and improving in certain areas of the riders choice. They are friendly and geared exactly to your requirements. Each session is for up to one hour and given on a one to one basis. £25 per rider. Times will be allocated and we will do our best to accommodate everyone. pm either tinkerdorisalison or daleslady if you are interested - or simply post on here. Post code DN14 9PZ and if using a horse box pm for directions as one way there is unsuitable for taller vehicles. Easy to find though, so don't worry. Number 2 is a ride at Clowbridge, on the outskirts of Burnley on Sunday 1st April.Aim for starting at 11am, ride for as long as you want and as far as you want. The tracks and trails are geared to horses, cyclists and walkers and there are miles and miles to roam on. If we get a lovely fine day as we did last time, you will see stunning views too. If you can't bring a pony, just come and walk with me and Hollydog the Westie! We rode for about 2 hours last time and we had 11 ponies and riders and a couple of walkers last time - well worth putting in your diary! This website gives a brief description www.unitedutilities.com/Clowbridge.aspxFor those of you who want to google a map, the post code is BB11 5PF A note regarding insurance - if you are a DPS Member you are covered. If not, you can still join in, but you must have your own insurance, such as BHS Gold Membership. Thank you

They both sound good, Penny.
Would there be a ride suitable (gentliish inclines, not too fast or rocky) for an oldie? I'd really like to get Sam out and about a little bit this year if I can borrow some transport but don't want to overdo it. He'd fit in fairly well with Dales ponies........just a bit bigger andd grumpier.

You would be most welcome Fi and yes the ride would be suitable for any pony.. something for all. There are hills, but there are different approaches to them and there are paths and tracks which all ponies can manage - we took 3 ponies and only one had shoes on....all were perfectly fine and happy. You can literally do as much or as little as you want. Last time we did this ride, we had two groups, those who wanted to do more went ahead and went faster, those of us who were slower got there in our own time!
Hope you decide to come.

Will be nice to see you, too, Penny. But you may be wishiing you hadn't seen us after we have been .......Rick and Oliver have already booked a place on the trailer - unfortunately. I have suggested he may like to ride someone else, but he says Oliver will be fine

Can I book 2 places if there's room... one for Lucy and Rory and one for me and Becky (but dont tell her as she has perfected the art of lameness / loosing a shoe when I have an idea about sitting on her!)
