About 3 years ago we took on an injured male Harris Hawk - he had badly injured his wing when he hit some fencing when out hunting with his previous owner. His injury meant he wasn't able to fly incredibly well but he coped just fine in the more confined area of an aviary. We eventually paired him up with our female, Buffy, and together they hatched and raised a clutch of 4 young. 2 of them do demonstration work (one with us and one with a good friend of ours) and the other 2 have made fantastic hunting birds (again with friends of ours). Today only Buffy came to the feeding hatch...poor Angel had passed away He was such a character, I'll miss him. This is the special gift he left us with...Perky, his beautiful son

I'm so sorry for your loss. I think it wonderful though that you took him in and he was able to produce the next generation of these beautiful birds.
