She looks old, yes, but I don't think she looks unhealthy.
She looks a little unhappy though on the first pic. Does she always have this look on het face or is she usually alert and happy?

I also think she looks fine, Zelda. Sadly we all change shape to some degree with age - I certainly have.  Her back dipping a bit due to age is probably accentuating the hips and she will not have the muscle she once did but she appears healthy to me. I used to worry about old Winnie looking painfully thin as he got into his 30s but the vets kept assuring me he was fine for his age and not to worry about the lack of muscle and general shape. So long as she is happy in herself and eating well I wouldn't worry. |

Cassey I'd got Tom to hold her head up out of her feed so that's the reason for her expression - mind you she does a good line in grumpy faces anyway lol I'm glad you all think she looks ok esp as you have had older ponies too  |

Cassey being nearly 24 hasn't caused her to lose weight. She is far too fat, so she's permanently on a diet.

Cassey I think that three years can make a big difference to condition when they get older, my other oldie Prince who will be 21 in 3 weeks (I know not that old for a native lol) is the same as your Cassey, I can never get his weight down esp as he is retired tho I suspect Prince has metabolic issues. pic of tubby Prince below  |

 she looks good to me Zelda! I keep a much closer finger on the pulse when it comes to Galahad's weight. Blimey  I just did my calculations and he'll be 27 next month! For the most part, Galahad keeps his weight down better than Blossom. The vets here say its better for his legs if he's on the lighter side, but when I start to see his ribs, I instantly add more coconut oil to his meals. That's been correcting the weight for him, but I am more than ready to add a lunch for him if he needs. I think Daisy's looking wonderful  she's so lucky to have you for her owner.

I think she looks fine for her age - she's allowed to be a bit saggy after bringing babies into the world  A very dipped back, dropped belly, muscle wastage and pads of fat above the eyes and on the shoulders can be signs of Cushings, but Daisy does not look at that stage and if she's fit and well in herself and not showing any other symptoms I wouldn't worry about her Zelda Prince looks brilliant for his age - just shows how men have it easier  |

She doesnt look Cushingoid. Sam (now 23) has a fairly dipped back even being on the pergolide - and he's (thankfully) not bought offspring into the world. |
