My friend Ruth is going with her Friesian and probably Irene with hers so I will be there with one of them. Still prefer Dales though.........

Well, I've put it in my diary, and all things being equal, I'll hope to be there for at least some of it.
I'd love to go to one of the Friesian gradings one of these years, when it's somewhere not too far from home.

I might go as well - though it was going to the Friesian Show at Manor Grange near Pontefract a few years ago that made me re-consider whether I wanted one. Was surprised to find I was a bit disappointed and ended up coming back round to wanting a Dales. I realised to get what I liked was going tp be waaaay out of my price range.
Having said that, the good ones are stunning, the only mare there that got awarded a ster was to die for. And there were some gorgeous babies.

we went years ago when the gradings were at arena uk. It was really informative, they gave a commentry on each horse being graded. They didnt pull any punches so I was really pleased it wasnt one of my horses.

Have just looked on the Friesian website to check details, and it says this show is part of the Festival of Champions show.
I guess that means it's other breeds as well as Friesians, but I can't find details anywhere.
Anyone else know, please?
