Ponies (UK)
This Show is a Qualifier for the 2012 Ponies (UK) Summer National Championships to be held at The Newark and Notts Showground on the 8th – 11th August 2012 1st, 2nd & 3rd horses/ponies in all Summer National Championships will qualify for the 2011 Summer Championships. Mixed height classes 1st, 2nd and 3rd qualify only. No Qualification Cards will not be awarded in the ring. Placings will be confirmed by results sent in by the Show Secretary. Competitors in qualifying positions, who are NOT current members of P (UK) are allowed 14 days in which to become a member and register their horse/pony in order for qualification to remain. The exception being any competitor qualifying at a show between 1st July and 31st July their membership must be submitted.

Equifest
This Show is affiliated to the 2012 Equifest Showing Show, taking place at the East of England Showground on the 15th – 19st August 2012.
Qualification cards will no longer be sent to the Show Secretary. Instead it is the responsibility of the exhibitor to have a qualification card before entering the show and getting this signed by either the Judge, Steward or Show Secretary at the time of qualification. Qualification cards will be sent out free of charge to exhibitors on request. "This show is affiliated to The Coloured Horse & Pony Society (UK). Both owner and the rider/exhibitor need not be a member of CHAPS (UK) nor must the horse or pony be registered with CHAPS (UK) to compete. The CHAPS (UK) Championship Show will be held on 30th August – 1st September 2012 Shows held on or after date of Championship Show will count as 2013 qualifiers. Members to apply in writing to CHAPS (UK) for appropriate qualifier card.
The following classes 20, 21, 22 are CHAPS (UK) Qualifiers For full rulings and information on competition/qualification, please refer to the CHAPS (UK)Members’ Handbook; or visit www.chapsuk.com for rulings.
All stallions entering these classes must be graded or valid First Stage Approved with CHAPS (UK). First stage approved stallions are NOT permitted to enter HOYS Qualifiers.

To qualify for the 2012 National Showing Championship Show at Equifest, Peterborough. The first, second and third place horse/pony in the following classes – Class 27 In Hand Veteran and Class 28 Ridden Veteran will each receive a Qualification Card. To enter the National Showing Championship Show the rider/handler and horse/pony must register with 15+Horse and Pony Events within 21days of the qualifying show date. Entry Fees: £10 per entry before the closing date (with exception for the unaffiliated classes) £15 per entry on the day. Numbers are to be collected from secretary’s office on the day of show.
Prize money: 1st - £8, 2nd- £5, 3rd-£3. If less than 5 entries prize money for 1st place only.
SHOW RULES
It is a condition of entry that Exhibitors agree to be bound by the rules herewith under.
Any objection must be made in writing with a deposit of £20.00 in cash, (refundable if the objection is upheld), within 30 minutes of the class taking place.
The organising Committee accept no responsibility whatsoever for any loss, injury or damage to any person or their property whilst on the showground, car parks or approaches.
Entry fees will not be refunded and it is the responsibility of the exhibitor to ensure that their entry is correct, eligible and available when called for their class. Exhibitors must take into consideration that classes may clash. If this occurs, they must nominate which class they wish to compete in. No classes will be held up for any competitor.
A correctly fitted chin strap must be worn by all competitors, riders and judges whilst mounted. Correctly secured British Standard Skull caps/riding hats no’s. EN1384, PAS015 or PAS accredited must be worn.
Entries for affiliated classes will also be bound by the Rules and Conditions in force at the time of showing, applicable to that Association and the class in which they are exhibiting.
It is deemed by the organising Committee that exhibitors are conversant with any such rules, conditions or directives.
The organising Committee reserve the right to amalgamate or split classes and alter or amend the running order.
Stallions and colts must be adequately bitted and under the control of a competent rider/handler Please see note at the end of Show Rules for Clarification.
Exhibitors must enter the ring wearing the numbers allocated for that class.
The Committee reserves the right to expel any animal from the ring which in their opinion is not deemed to be fit or under sufficient control.
Show canes or whips to be no longer than 75 cms/30 inches.
Horses/ponies which have been bred, sold, leased or produced by the Judge, his/her immediate family or employer are not eligible for that class.
Mountain and Moorland ponies must be:-
a) Shown in their natural state.
b) Registered with their respective Pure Breed Society.
c) Registration number quoted on entry forms.
Lead rein ponies will be shown in a snaffle bridle only. Lead reins attached to the noseband.
Novice ponies to be show in a snaffle bridle only.
The mucking out of horse boxes/trailers is not permitted on the showground.
Dogs must be kept on a lead and under control at all times whilst on the Showground.
Please do not leave litter.
A Perpetual Trophy won by a competitor must be returned at the appropriate time to the Secretary either by hand or by registered post.
Any lost trophies will have to be paid for at their replacement value.
In the event of a show being cancelled, entry fees, less a £5 deduction for administration charges, will be refunded.
Any person who is found to be abusive, violent, aggressive, towards any official connected to this show will be asked to leave the showground IMMEDIATELY.
PLEASE NOTE: It is the rule of NPS & Ponies UK that Stallions/Colts may not be led by any juniors who have not attained their 14th birthday before January 1st in the current year. Riders must have attained their 12th birthday before 1st January of the current year when riding small breed Mountain & Moorland stallions and show/show hunter stallions not exceeding 128cms. Riders of large breed Mountain & Moorland stallions and show/show hunter stallion exceeding 128cms must have attained their 14th birthday before 1st January of the current year.

CHAPS (UK) Qualifying classes enable eligible exhibits to enter the relevant classes at the
CHAPS (UK) Championship Show in the year relevant to the qualification. Separate Finals will be held at the Championship Show for Yearlings, Two Year Olds, three Year Olds and for Natives and Non-Natives (Ridden and In Hand), together with Ridden Finals for Lead Read and First Ridden. Stallions Must be graded or FSA and wear their Stallion ID Disc in the Ring.
N.B Qualification Cards - please note it is important that judges must sign all qualification cards in the ring at the time of competition. It is the responsibility of the exhibitor to obtain from CHAPS (UK) Admin, and to carry, their Qualification and Membership Cards. Ponies (UK)
This Show is a Qualifier for the 2012 Ponies (UK) Summer National Championships to be held at The Newark and Notts Showground on the 8th – 11th August 2012 1st, 2nd & 3rd horses/ponies in all Summer National Championships will qualify for the 2011 Summer Championships. Mixed height classes 1st, 2nd and 3rd qualify only. No Qualification Cards will not be awarded in the ring. Placings will be confirmed by results sent in by the Show Secretary. Competitors in qualifying positions, who are NOT current members of P (UK) are allowed 14 days in which to become a member and register their horse/pony in order for qualification to remain. The exception being any competitor qualifying at a show between 1st July and 31st July their membership must be submitted.

This Show is affiliated to the 2012 Equifest Showing Show, taking place at the East of England Showground on the 15th – 19st August 2012.
Qualification cards will no longer be sent to the Show Secretary. Instead it is the responsibility of the exhibitor to have a qualification card before entering the show and getting this signed by either the Judge, Steward or Show Secretary at the time of qualification. Qualification cards will be sent out free of charge to exhibitors on request. "This show is affiliated to The Coloured Horse & Pony Society (UK). Both owner and the rider/exhibitor need not be a member of CHAPS (UK) nor must the horse or pony be registered with CHAPS (UK) to compete. The CHAPS (UK) Championship Show will be held on 30th August – 1st September 2012 Shows held on or after date of Championship Show will count as 2013 qualifiers. Members to apply in writing to CHAPS (UK) for appropriate qualifier card.
The following classes 20, 21, 22 are CHAPS (UK) Qualifiers For full rulings and information on competition/qualification, please refer to the CHAPS (UK)Members’ Handbook; or visit www.chapsuk.com for rulings.

To qualify for the 2012 National Showing Championship Show at Equifest, Peterborough. The first, second and third place horse/pony in the following classes – Class 27 In Hand Veteran and Class 28 Ridden Veteran will each receive a Qualification Card. To enter the National Showing Championship Show the rider/handler and horse/pony must register with 15+Horse and Pony Events within 21days of the qualifying show date. Entry Fees: £10 per entry before the closing date (with exception for the unaffiliated classes) £15 per entry on the day. Numbers are to be collected from secretary’s office on the day of show.
Prize money: 1st - £8, 2nd- £5, 3rd-£3. If less than 5 entries prize money for 1st place only.
SHOW RULES
It is a condition of entry that Exhibitors agree to be bound by the rules herewith under.
Any objection must be made in writing with a deposit of £20.00 in cash, (refundable if the objection is upheld), within 30 minutes of the class taking place.
The organising Committee accept no responsibility whatsoever for any loss, injury or damage to any person or their property whilst on the showground, car parks or approaches.
Entry fees will not be refunded and it is the responsibility of the exhibitor to ensure that their entry is correct, eligible and available when called for their class. Exhibitors must take into consideration that classes may clash. If this occurs, they must nominate which class they wish to compete in. No classes will be held up for any competitor.
A correctly fitted chin strap must be worn by all competitors, riders and judges whilst mounted. Correctly secured British Standard Skull caps/riding hats no’s. EN1384, PAS015 or PAS accredited must be worn.
Entries for affiliated classes will also be bound by the Rules and Conditions in force at the time of showing, applicable to that Association and the class in which they are exhibiting.
It is deemed by the organising Committee that exhibitors are conversant with any such rules, conditions or directives.
The organising Committee reserve the right to amalgamate or split classes and alter or amend the running order.
Stallions and colts must be adequately bitted and under the control of a competent rider/handler Please see note at the end of Show Rules for Clarification.
Exhibitors must enter the ring wearing the numbers allocated for that class.
The Committee reserves the right to expel any animal from the ring which in their opinion is not deemed to be fit or under sufficient control.
Show canes or whips to be no longer than 75 cms/30 inches.
Horses/ponies which have been bred, sold, leased or produced by the Judge, his/her immediate family or employer are not eligible for that class.
Mountain and Moorland ponies must be:-
a) Shown in their natural state.
b) Registered with their respective Pure Breed Society.
c) Registration number quoted on entry forms.
Lead rein ponies will be shown in a snaffle bridle only. Lead reins attached to the noseband.
Novice ponies to be show in a snaffle bridle only.
The mucking out of horse boxes/trailers is not permitted on the showground.
Dogs must be kept on a lead and under control at all times whilst on the Showground.
Please do not leave litter.
A Perpetual Trophy won by a competitor must be returned at the appropriate time to the Secretary either by hand or by registered post.
Any lost trophies will have to be paid for at their replacement value.
In the event of a show being cancelled, entry fees, less a £5 deduction for administration charges, will be refunded.
Any person who is found to be abusive, violent, aggressive, towards any official connected to this show will be asked to leave the showground IMMEDIATELY.
PLEASE NOTE: It is the rule of NPS & Ponies UK that Stallions/Colts may not be led by any juniors who have not attained their 14th birthday before January 1st in the current year. Riders must have attained their 12th birthday before 1st January of the current year when riding small breed Mountain & Moorland stallions and show/show hunter stallions not exceeding 128cms. Riders of large breed Mountain & Moorland stallions and show/show hunter stallion exceeding 128cms must have attained their 14th birthday before 1st January of the current year.

CHAPS (UK) Qualifying classes enable eligible exhibits to enter the relevant classes at the
CHAPS (UK) Championship Show in the year relevant to the qualification. Separate Finals will be held at the Championship Show for Yearlings, Two Year Olds, three Year Olds and for Natives and Non-Natives (Ridden and In Hand), together with Ridden Finals for Lead Read and First Ridden. Class 33. Young Handler.
7 - 11 years old on day of show, Mare or gelding, 4 year old or over, any height.
All handlers must wear hard hats to current standard.
Class 34. Young Handler.
12 - 17 years old on day of show, Mare or gelding, 4 year old or over, any height.
All handlers must wear hard hats to current standard.
Class 35. Best Turned Out.
Mare or gelding 4 years old and over, not exceeding 158cm, rider not to have attained their 17th birthday on the day of show. To include handler if on lead rein.
Class 36. Best Child Rider.
Mare or gelding 4 years old and over, not exceeding 158cm, rider not to have attained their 17th birthday on the day of show.
N.B Competitors may only enter one of the following local classes

Rider not to have attained their 17th birthday on day of the show, pony not to exceed 158cm on or off the lead rein. Child and pony must live within a 10 mile radius of Tyn Y Gongl. No cantering allowed.
Class 38. Local Class.
Rider not to have attained their 17th birthday on the day of the show, pony not to exceed 158cm. Child and pony must live within a 10 mile radius of Tyn Y Gongl.
Class 39. Ridden Foreign Breed.
Mare or gelding 4 years old or over, any height, rider any age. Open to all horses and ponies registered as pure bred or part bred not catered for elsewhere in the schedule i.e Andalusian etc
Class 40. Ridden Pure Bred Arab
Mare or gelding 4 years old or over, any height, rider any age
S11 Unaffiliated Championship

Supreme Championships – These are to take place after the completion of all classes.
IMPORTANT if you win a Championship and are not going to stay for the Supreme could you please let the secretary know ASAP so that the Reserve Champion from the section can go forward in your place!! Many Thanks.

An additional prize donated by SLJ Photography of a photo session either at home or in their studio in Bangor. Also a free A3 framed print to be awarded to the Mini Supreme Champion.
