Well the boys arrived yesterday! keeping them in for a few days to get used to me and so I can monitor their eating and drinking. They are eating hay ok, but don't seem to know about hard feed yet, I am putting a handfull on top of their hay so they can hopefully get the ideal. They are drinking, though they keep trying to suckle on each other! want to worm them asap but can't really get a syringe of wormer down them yet! As soon as they are eating their hard feed ok I will get some powder in it. They seem not too stressed and are getting used to being fussed a bit so I am confident that they will settle and be good little boys! p.s. can anyone tell me if it would be ok to give them haylage if I can get any, as the small amount of last years hay I have left is not really very good quality.

Our foals are 3 months and 2 weeks and are eating hay and haylage, if that helps. Re wormer you could always put the amount you need to give them on your finger and get it in to them that way. How old are they now?

I'm not sure exactly how old they are, but they don't look much more than 3 months, judging by the length of their tails. They have started to eat their stud mix this afternoon though, so hopefully will start and build up a bit. thanks for tip re wormer, I'll try that!
