I was just wondering (as I often do).... if a show has a class for Working Hunter Pony are they looking for a 'type' of pony such as a chunky sort of riding pony or are they looking for any breed/type of pony with good conformation that would be fine for a days hunting.
I'm sure I have seen M&M WHP classes but it there isn't one is there any point in entering a normal WHP class?
Only wondering like..

At our local rc anything goes- turn out to type and a clear round goes a very long way!

I did a few WH classes with Jay at riding club level and we usually got placed. We had to do the horse classes as Jay's too much of a big'un to get away with WHP.

I always used to go in normal WH classes with Jester if there was no M&M WH.. You do get the odd comment though, but never off the judges, always jealous 'proper' WH owners He's unregistered so if the M&Ms were registered only I'd take him in normal WHs, even at county level.. It did cause a bit of a stink at West Mids county one year because I beat everyone else but the judges and show organisers said it was fine
