Hi Mandy, just seen this. So glad James has responded well on Prascend. Choc has been on it (human pergolide then prascend when it was licensed and pergolide withdrawn) for 3 or 4 years now (at least!) and has done very well on it, she is 25 this year and will no doubt live for years more and cost me a fortune! I have thankfully avoided lami with her but she does get depressed from time to time, mind, look who she has to put up with! LOL! Could someone post the internet links for 80-something pence per tablet prascend please, it's always over a pound where I've looked? I would like to show my vets! The toughest thing with big doses is getting them to eat it! If you have problems I can share some tricks to try! Good luck to everyone

glad James is settled on his dose now, and doing well on it. Lucydales, I got my last lot of Prascend from www.vet-medic.com, which worked out about 86p a tablet. This last lot was my first lot of Prascend, previously with pergolide I'd usually shop about a bit though and rarely got it form the same site each time. Try viovet, vetdispense, assetchemist, hyperdrug, bestpet, medicanimal........and let us know if you find it cheaper!! lol....I'm going to be shopping again in a few weeks time. My vet wanted £737.11 for 480 tablets when I asked last time. gulp. Do share your feeding tricks! Sam's OK at the moment but every so often I have to change tack with him. Fi

Tell us your tricks, Lucy, please!
All I heard was that the tablets dissolve easily in water, so all I've been doing is dissolving a tablet in a tablespoon of water, and then pouring more water over that to mix it into Megz's balancer/chaff. She was only hesitant the first day (on half a tablet) and beyond that, thankfully she's eaten everything I've put in front of her.

I've only just seen this.
I got the Prascend from Animed.com - they were £142.10 for 160 tablets inc delivery.
The vet told me to cut a hole in a carrot to give them to James as they aren't particularly palatable.
Also I didn't want Musk getting it if James didn't eat it. We now have a bun fight every morning as James doesn't see why Musk should have any carrot!
Unfortunately Musk cropped up lame a couple of weeks ago and is "resting" just when I thought we'd be able to go a bit further afield with them both.....
