We have a 4 yr old Black section A DALES Gelding for sale. Highclose Chancer (stable name Freddie) has two white socks behind and a few white hairs on his forehead. This pony is only four but he is so calm and sensible it really belies his age. Don't get me wrong, he is not perfect, he is still quite green after all, but he is riding away nicely and has seen a bit of the world and is willing to please his rider and seems to be unfazed by just about everything. He has been superb with the traffic he has already seen; tractors and cars etc.
He is also very easy to do, will live in or out very happily. Good traveller, doesn't mind the vet (whom he has only needed for vaccinations) or the farrier (for trimming as he has never yet had shoes on), is good to clip and hasn't any issues, unless you count how friendly he is as one
We bred this young chap, he is by Waterside Jack out of Colliery Madam and he is a good chunky weight carrying sort who should finish at 14.2hh. He has lovely correct movement. He was backed late last year, then turned away over Winter and he has just been ridden away and schooled lightly this Spring. He is now looking for a new forever home if there is such a thing Please do not be put off by his age, we have older ponies who are much less sensible than he.
Please pass this on to anyone who may be interested and please contact me if you are interested. Thank you

As you know, Penny, I have always liked this pony We are looking to replace the Haflingers who pull the wedding carriage, after next year (got bookings for that coloured ponies until then, so cannot change before!). Old age, and various problems (Cushings) are sadly making us retire the older ones. We really want to use Dales, but unfortunately none of ours are big enough, or chunky enough (Oliver, but we will not go there .....!!).as the carriage is heavy. Have you got another Freddie hidn away, somewhere - he would be the ideal size for our carriage? But obviously we need two, exact same height not essential, but same build would be good .......

Actually Pam, I think you can! Mair Freddie is the spit of his mother, same build and everything, unfortunately he will be at least an inch taller! And we have only bred two foals since Freddie, Apollo and Misty both 3 this year, and none in the pipeline. Apollo is still with us and Misty now lives near Blackrod We do however have a super 14.2hh mare with no job to do if you fancy putting her with something - she hates being ridden but would probably drive really well.

This pony really is everything Penny has said, and will be a super family pony/all rounder.

Thanks Jane. He is a super boy, loving and kind and exceptionally willing to please. He will make someone a perfect pony and he will turn his lovely big round hooves to anything.

If only I had the money.... He really sounds perfect for me! Not too small, and nice and chunky. I do need that! Not because I'm heavy, but because of my long legs! LOL
