I've finished two of my entries for the agricultural shows this year.... Remember I was asking for ideas for the "Knitted Household Item" class. This is my Knitted Vase Cover..... and this is for the Toy class.....

you definitely do deserve a prize!
I think the Vase Cover would double up very nicely as a red wine bottle warmer!

My goodness those are wonderful!!! I love your charming rabbit and the vase cover is so detailed. I love the pattern. LOL, now I can't think of it as a vase cover, but a wine cover instead I'm sure those would sell like hotcakes

Love them Julie, the vase cover looks very complicated - my limit is squares for blankets lol

Still time to knit Flopsy, Mopsy and Cottontail Spoken by someone who only uses knitting needles for scratching inside plaster-casts! They are great Julie. Very artistic. Are they knitted with wool from Nipna sheep?

mostly from nipna wool. I have also knitted some funky socks ,on four needles but they,ve only gone and changed the class to gloves.

They are great! When you first mentioned a vase cover, I could not imagine how it would look ....but now its done, it looks good......but I would probably use it for a wine bottle. There again, never lasts long enough to warrant covering it in such a pretty thing!!
Not right changing the socks for gloves .....but fingers crossed for your vase cover and rabbit.

..but I would probably use it for a wine bottle. There again, never lasts long enough to warrant covering it in such a pretty thing!! I thought much the same thing, but it would make a brilliant gift paired with a bottle for say a hostess gift, or a housewarming gift, Christmas, Easter, basically any occasion, but a spiffier form of giftwrap It must feel awesome to knit and know your wool came from your own sheep grazing right outside your own window. What a neat connection!
