I went for a walk this afternoon, and took a lot of pics sadly my website for uploading pics is behaving badly, so I can only show you three pics at the moment, but still, it is three pics
This is the Pacific Ocean, just around the corner from me. You wouldn't believe how hard it was roaring today, very salty ^.^
This was at my turnaround point today. I'm very high up the head looking back out over the Pacific Ocean. This is the same area Lewis and Clark came through.
Tomorrow I'll see if my other pictures show up so I can show you the rest of the hike. It's a pine forest (with some older trees) right above the Pacific Ocean.
Okay, I'll show the badly exposed (camera's settings not mine) of the character tree stump. In real person, it has a lot of life to it, looks like a proper gnome home or dwelling for many, many forest creatures.
Clearly the picture does not do it justice though.
The rest of my pictures showed up today...hurrrahhh technology
The entranceway to Tillamook Head
An inviting path...
Salmonberries. Eldon loves these...Debbie does not. He still raves about how great they taste, and tried to get me to eat one just the other day. I generously let him have mine. They're similar to a blackberry in flavor, but much more bitter/tart. They're clearly packed with Vit C and good for you, but not a favorite of mine.
This was me trying to catch my breath. The first bit of the trail is rather steep in ascent, but it has a very nice view of the ocean. I'm sure the winter storms would be amazing to watch from these homes.
One of the older trees
Another biggie. I think this one might be a Sitka but I'm not completely certain. It is a lovely tree, though.
Tall trees
And this was my turnaround point yesterday. Its very high up and along the headland. I don't know how far I went but I was out hiking for roughly an hour and a half.
I hope you enjoyed the pics. It was a fun hike
