It's the Great Yorkshire Show this week, Tuesday to Thursday. Roger and I are hitching up the caravan and setting off tomorrow because we're on the Riding for the Disabled stand for all 3 days (plus setting up tomorrow).
Are any DalesFans visiting? We'll be on Stand 149 if you're around, please come and say hello.

Have a great time, Maggie.
The forecast is brilliant. Such an improvement on last year when the whole thing was rained off.
It's haytime here this week, and I'm hoping my second batch of hay will be brought in tomorrow or Wednesday. I'd already decided to give GYS a miss this year (too tempting to buy things!) but haytime gives me a very good reason to stick close to home. But my farmer is planning on going on one of the days, which is great because some years there's just too much work that has to be done on the farm that he can't get there.
I suspect it'll be heaving this year!
Have lots of fun. I'm sure you'll have loads of people visiting the stand.

I'm still waiting for our first and no doubt the farmer will be busy doing his own first and only get round to mine when the weather turns.

I do like the GYS, but I am not good in very hot weather, and the thought of walking round all day is not one I relish!! Rick is doing year end at work, so cannot go, and even if I went myself, its a 2 hour journey, fuel cost, and getting in, that's before buying anything ....so maybe the hot weather is doing me a good turn in stopping me spending!!!

I might be there...............if the vet comes to do Sam's teeth at a reasonable time, that is. But the last few times I've had the vet out on a routine visit they've come at a really convenient time (and been bang on time) so I suspect my luck will change tomorrow!!!
I even offered to help on my employers' stand on wednesday but they were oversubscribed with offers and I got knocked back :-(
will come and say Hi if I make it.
