Roandale Clever Girl, 14.3hh compact bay Dales mare. Genuine and willing pony with calm attitude. Great in all traffic to date, easy to load and with Vet and Farrier. Friendly pony who likes people. Hacks alone and in company. Beautiful paces which just need a little more time to develop for dressage/showing. This is a low mileage pony who has been nurtured into a “safe feeling” individual to have fun with. She is responsive and energetic and tries very hard to please her rider. A loving home sought for this lovely mare and one which appreciates a good honest foundation to build on. Proven broodmare. Fantastic opportunity to acquire a traditional type Dales for work, fun or breeding.
£4,000 to include a full trail whilst enjoying a holiday at Devon Riding Holidays for as many days as you want to buy this pony with confidence. This pony is only going to increase in value as her training progresses, so take advantage of her now, knowing a great start has been made on her. Full advisory and back up advice included for continued partnership development. p.m malhamdale

I so covet this pony and have since I first saw her--half sister to my Roandale Gay Lad, she is absolutely gorgeous. Zana started GL as well and although I got him a good bit less along than Clever Girl, that foundation training has provided a solid baseline which has only meant us moving forward. Zana works her ponies ground up, making sure they are asking to learn more, keeping sessions short and to the point and then allowing for fun and experience. When Z schooled me to learn along with my new pony (he'd been under saddle just a few weeks) , I remember slightly moving my hip forward and suddenly my pony was side-passing along the arena. When I lifted the other hip--opposite side-pass. If I dropped my reins, he stopped. Zana looks out for scary stuff and when a great big monster tractor comes rumbling up the road--she's out there with the green ones letting them take it all in. This has proven terrifically valuable as Lad and I spend a lot of time on American roads where cars zoom by and in our local woods where there are horribly huge, gnashing, fire-breathing logging shapeshifters as well. Doesn't bother Lad a bit--he's already seen it all and I am reassured that it's not worth worrying about. Looking at her compact frame I'm guessing she would be as versatile as GL as well--happy to boast that GL took reserve champion his Combined Training Test last weekend (dressage and jump) and went out the next day for a half day hill ride cross country. My advice for anyone considering CG? Go for it. She is a gem--all the attributes of a classic Dales, sound start and eye-catching ability...there must be some way to slip her into a mail pouch and send her to America!
