Masham sheep fair.

We did both days with the sheep. The wensleydale,s were on Saturday, Stinker ,the ram lamb, won, the gimmer lambs were third and fourth and Ivor the ram was third. Ivor was then awarded the best fleece at the show by the man from the wool marketing board.I won a shepherds crook for that.
The Lincolns went on Sunday. Matthew and Magnus were 1st and second in the ram lambs, Lewis and Les were 1st and second in the ram class, Matilda,gimmer lamb,won her class and was totally unsociable all day.The two shearling girls were second and third. Lewis went on to be best male then supreme champ.Thats my first supreme with the Lincolns, we have had a couple of reserves. There were 10 in some of the classes,which was a good number as its the first time we have had Lincoln classes at Masham.

I keep meaning to go along to the sheep fair. I'm only 8 miles away, but seem to keep missing it. Maybe next year.

Do you ever take the sheep to Nidderdale show. It's a lovely (really lovely) agricultural show. Only relatively small, and I don't know what sheep classes there are, but it's a lovely atmosphere and a great setting.

lol, no that was Melissa. Matilda spent the whole day looking into a corner so that no-one took her photo.
