I've only recently updated my gadgets, and so for the first time I now have a smart phone. I love it. I'm a huge convert.
But the world of apps is totally new to me. I've found quite a few I like already, but just wondered which ones others on here have found really useful.
A few of my favourites are:
OS maps: free app, which then enables me to buy individual 1:25,000 maps in the UK for about £2 each. With the individual maps, I can then record the route I take.
Sleep talk: records any night-time noises. Useful for checking sleeptalking or proving that someone snores!
Countdown: can count the number of days til a certain event, or since a certain event.
RAC routeplanner and traffic news
Met office weather
Odeon cinema app: with details of nearest cinemas, what's showing, and trailers
I think those are my best ones so far.... Any others that I really can't live without?

What phone have you got - iphone or android? I love mine too. The apps I use the most regularly are the ones connected with riding, maps and weather. Will check what mine are all called. Like the sound of the sleep talk one you mention - that could be interesting!

It's an iphone, Pam. Unknown to me, I got one of the very new ones, only a few days after they came onto the market! I didn't realise they had only been on sale for a few days. So I've got a pink iphone 5c, I think!
Oh, and I discovered the proboards one, which makes it nice and easy to look at Dalesfans on my phone too.

Oh yes, the Proboards one is one I use regularly! Mine is a Nexus android so not all the apps will be compatible. You'll wonder how you ever managed without it now.

A friend of mine has got an app called 'Track my Hack' lol, we've used it on several occasions to tell us how far we have hacked, which is interesting to know, not sure what phone she has though, but think it is an iphone.

The riding/sports ones I use are: "runtastic" and "my tracks" I like them both. Make hacking alone more interesting and great for our endurance rides and training. Plus useful if you get lost.
