We've just arrived back home having been away for (shock horror!) more than a whole week! We've been to visit Roger's family in Hertfordshire, then to Norfolk to help move our son and his family into their new house. Luckily, the horses are still out and, although the fields are looking pretty churned up now, they aren't bothering with the bale of haylage they have, so we're hoping we won't have to bring them in until the day after Boxing Day. That will give us a good restful Christmas! I hope you all have a lovely and peaceful Christmas and that 2014 is a good year for us all.

Mine came in again the end of last week as the fields are just covered with standing water and gateways very muddy and with an extra pony I thought it would be best, I had hoped to get away with it till after Christmas, but never mind Amy is sharing the turning out and bringing in which is lovely after being on my own for nearly 3 years.

Couldn't agree more about 2014 being a good year for everyone, I can't wait to say goodbye to 2013. For the time being all I can say is, roll on Spring!
