Oh thank you so much! I have had a lovely time, lovely pressies including new breeches (in the post) and a year's subscription to horse and hound I had a great hack on phoebe with my friend. We were out for most the day and had a picnic using my new (second hand) saddle bag. Plus, lots of lovely long canters in the forestry. Tonight we are getting take out curry (yum) x

Wow, that looks fabulous riding country! Lucky you and what a perfect way to spend your birthday! Is it right on your doorstep or do you have to trailer to get there?

We are really lucky as it's all on our doorstep. We do a little road work to get to thAt forest, but all quiet and most folk are v good passing horses around here. I don't have a trailer but my friend occasionally takes us out, really to keep phoebe familiar with loading.

Oooh you really are lucky having it all on your doorstep. Mind you, the one advantage for me of having to trailer Harvey is he enjoys exploring new areas and the traveling takes the edge off him so he is less likely to buck me off!

Yes you are very lucky having all that lovely hacking on your doorstep, we have lots of off riding around us but it is quite flat, mostly field headlands with some old green lanes. We do have several forests within easy boxing distance, Thetford, Kings, Rendlesham, Harling which are great for getting away from the mud as they are mostly sandy. Must start having a few trips out as are tracks are getting very muddy now.
