Crufts

For the first time ever I finally got to go to Crufts. It's something I've wanted to do but never got round to so this year I ordered tickets for me and Andy well in advance for what I was told would be the quietest day. If Thursday is the quietest day, then I hate to think what the weekend will be like but it was a fabulous experience.

We got there entering by the door near the dog village where all the breeds are there for people to see and guess who was the first person we saw - Gill, greydales on here, with Woody, her Australian Cattle Dog!

I really enjoyed watching the heelwork and freestyle to music. We saw a few other demos, watched a tiny bit of the actual showing and spent ages looking round the hundreds of stalls selling anything you can think of for dogs. We got Ben lots of treats!

One thing I saw but Andy wouldn't let me buy because of the cost, was a GPS tracking system for dogs with an app for your phone. It would mean I never lose Ben again or rather, when I do I will be able to see exactly where he is! He has taken to quietly wondering off when I'm not looking and I reckon he must have visited just about every house where a dog lives in Wickenby when I go over to Tanya. I'm going to look for a cheaper version on the internet.

I've actually thought about getting one of those GPS things for Eldon, and I know of one person who did a similar tracker for her kitty cat (boy did he have a route). I'm sure your Ben's route would look like the dog from Lady and the Tramp.

How cool that you bumped into Gill and her new pup. Gosh, I remember when she was just picking from the litter. Time really does fly.
