I know I don't post much any more but I did want to say how much I appreciate this board. It's unique in my online experience in that it's polite, considerate to everyone no matter what their opinion and somewhere we can ask for help without being made to feel silly or wrong. Thanks everyone.

I totally agree its a lovely board, I've never posted anywhere else, but looked at other boards when I've been looking for various information and never felt any inclination to join in with any of the posts, and some have an unfriendly and disrespectful feel, almost as if people are trying to outdo and put down other people. Also some of the advice and the c**p talked sounds quite dangerous sometimes.
When I first found this site when I first got Emerald and was searching for info on Dales ponies, it just seemed so friendly and after the welcome I received and the response I got to my questions I was encouraged to keep posting, not something I imagined myself doing, but it has become sort of addictive, everyone now feels like friends and you know you will get good advice from people who know what they're talking about and always so freely given.
Maybe it's because the Dales community so small, relatively speaking.

well said all! There don't seem to be any egos on here - just people with the ponies best interests at heart.
I used to go on the British Dressage forum but never felt the urge to post there!

Yes, completely agree! I know a lot of Dales owners post on facebook but for me nothing beats Dalesfans for real help, advice, friendship and support.

I completely agree! I joined here after being 'yelled at' on another forum for simply posting a training experience that had worked for me and the Appaloosa at the time. I never ever went back to that forum, and was so delighted with the generosity and good will on here. Dalesfans is a special place full of wonderful, supportive people

Well said Heather. I sometimes read a well known site that has won social media awards and its so rude. I can't believe the comments made to people asking for help. I'm so glad this site isn't like that.
