and it's wonderful!! I came home on Monday evening and just had my 2nd nights sleep at home, not in my own bed but in the spare bed brought downstairs to the study which will be my bedroom for the next few weeks. It is so wonderfully peaceful at home, hospitals are not restful places but I couldn't have asked for better care from both the doctors and the nurses, I'm still in a lot of pain and have the most horrendous bed sores on my bum, never realised these could appear so soon and make me feel like an old lady, but they sent me home with plenty of good pain relief.
I arrived home to find my Dales Dispatches had been delivered so I enjoyed reading that yesterday, I particularly enjoyed part 1 of Meg's story of getting Lad home, looking forward to part 2.
Also enjoyed reading the results of the performance awards, well done everyone, good to see Harvey still doing well, I had downloaded a form and started to fill in for Emerald this year and already have a few points from riding club rallies and our first pleasure ride, we may be able to do a few more towards the end of the summer so I think I will still submit it even if we come last.
The memory of the ride we did with Kate and Molly in Kings forest is keeping me going, and I keep reliving it in my mind to remind me of what I can look forward to again, hopefully in the autumn, thanks so much Kate, Fay and Molly and Amy for giving me this lovely ride and making it possible to have such a wonderful memory to cling onto, it really was a fabulous day.
I haven't been to see the ponies yet but Amanda is coming at the weekend so she will drive me to see them, I'm so looking forward to seeing them but think it will be 'look but don't touch' as Spud has the endearing habit of pushing you with his nose, not good for broken ribs!!!
