Oscar and Charlie have been lucky enough to have been on holiday at Maggie and Roger's for the last couple of months. It's been a massive help to me as I have been working away on a contract and the dogs were getting fed up of kennels and such like. They have clearly had a wonderful time and look so fit and healthy. They look in fantastic shape ( I think I need to go and stay and see if I can be knocked into a similar athletic shape lol ) I'm not so sure Oscar was too impressed at coming home today as he sulked in the car for most f the way home He has deigned to let me cuddle him for five mins since we got back but then went for a snooze. He's a funny lad. Charlie is as pleased to see everyone as ever. Always the loveable clown. Thank you so much Maggie and Roger for being such wonderful friends. I hope the house guests behaved. X

Oscar's living up to his namesake. Perhaps he was letting you know he missed you. That's so nice of Maggie and Roger to give them a holiday home

Now that's what I call good friends, it's no small thing to take on someone's dogs for a few months even if they are well behaved.
These last few weeks have made me realise just how much good friends are worth when you need a little help.

We loved having the boys and they were such a help recently, when we lost our Labrador, Jake very unexpectedly. It made such a big difference having a dog to cuddle! The house seems very quiet now.

Well the village hasn't been quiet since They got back, lol. Oscar picked a fight with a local last week, naughty boy, Charlie decided to sing along to the sound of church bells this morning and then for god measure one of them ate Alan's watch! Thankfully they left the watch face.
It was the first birthday present I bought Alan so has great sentimental value. I could have killed the little sods!
