Not sure - could be several things. What size is it, does it have any flowers yet? Could you dig one up and show a photo of the roots as well? Is there any smell to it? Gtowing in a shady spot, or full sun?
Could possibly be a ragwort regrowing cos the second year's regrowth leaves are very different from the normal ones. Equally it could be a type of dandelion or even a shepherd's purse.

No definitely not ragwort, its got a white flower by the look of it, lady smock is pale pink rather than white though isn't it? I cant remember what its leaves look like and it usually grows in damp areas.

wildflowerfinder.org.uk/It's probably too late to add to this thread Zelda as the plant has possibly gone to seed by now. However, you could try sending the photo to the above weblink and the site's author may be able to tell you what it is. It has the look of a member of the Cress family maybe?? Also very like the leaves of White Rocket? www.british-wild-flowers.co.uk/W-Flowers/Wall-rocket,%20White.htm
