I was shown these two photos this afternoon so thought I'd share them for those interested in the Wharfedale ponies and their line. The first is Wharefdale Lucy, the bay, and her dam (stablename 'Bess'), and the second is Wharfedale Redstart. Redstart was out of Robertland Miss Bussington by an appaloosa stallion (Kestrel I think), which makes her half-sister to Wharfedale Prince Regent and so half-aunt to Cadeby's King.

Thank you for sharing these. I remember Redstart when judging her at the second Performance Show when it moved to the Great Yorkshire Showground. Margaret was a regular competitor at the early Performance Shows and was particularly successful with the part breds. They were all fantastic over jumps and I seem to remember a picture of one of them in Horse and Hound when either out hunting or competing in Cross Country event.

Lovely to see these photos. Particularly apt for me as we are currently enjoying a week in Wharfedale. Thanks for sharing. :-)

Hi Thank you for putting these photos up. I have Wharfedale Lucy. She is 26 yrs old this year. Lovely to see her as a foal. Her mum was Girl of Spen. Is there any way I could get a copy of this picture to put with rest of her millions of photos?
