My holiday snaps

I wasn't going to bore you all but I just got back from the funeral of a friend's father so am feeling a bit sentimental and grateful my own Dad was able to share a fabulous holiday this month with us in Andalucía. I can't believe how he coped with all the travelling we did as he is 90.

He had a bad start as they missed their plane connection so had to spend an unplanned night in Amsterdam which confused him. We stayed in Seville and Granada and travelled to various other towns, villages and into the Sierra Nevada. It was fabulous. A highlight for me was a visit to the Royal Andalusian Riding School at Jerez to watch a performance. Sadly photos weren't allowed. The Alhambra at Granada was absolutely stunning.

Dad was amazing and as usual, we had lots to laugh at such as when he flagged down a police car, thinking it was a taxi. Luckliy the Spanish police found it very amusing. Lots of fabulous food and drink of course. Anyway, a few pics:

Yes lovely photos, it all looks wonderful, just what you need to set you up before the winter, your Dad looks a character and he doesn't look 90, my own Dad could walk me off my feet until about 6 months before he died at 92.

Great pictures Pam. We enjoyed a lovely holiday in that area many years ago, so your pics brought back fond memories. Sounds like we visited the same areas.

Your dad is amazing. To be doing all at at 90 is terrific. It's a lovely picture of the two of you.

Bore me, no way!!! I LOVE your holiday pics!!! Your dad is especially a role model for me. I hope I'm that vibrant for life and making new memories when I'm in my 90s (and that's even if I make my 90s! See? He's a role model already ) I also have to say, that first pic, reminds me of the courtyard in Dona Louisa's, a restaurant in Antigua, Guatemala. I'm sure the architechure is very much the same.
