okay I considered myself 'okay' at roller skating because I'd advanced from wall hugging to being able to remain upright and skating in a circle. This made my jaw drop and stay there.... www.youtube.com/watch?v=FY4qkXdP-zk*I feel so indadequate with my skating level...

www.youtube.com/watch?v=K71RjUpl_M0 I will say one thing that is 'nice' is that the competitors all have the same level playing field. Ever since I first watched ice skating, I always thought it rotten that the skaters didn't get the same nice smooth glazed ice, especially when I watched some of my favorites falling after landing on the divets from the previous skaters skill is one thing, but fair is fair (or at least my 12 year old self felt) And I still feel completely inadequate with my rustic roller skating skills now

When I was little I had roller skates, i think it became a craze again in the 90s! I loved it; I wasn't anything special. I could skate down the street or to where i wanted to go, but I couldn't jump or do tricks! Now, I did do ice skating and I was really good at that and did grades and got certificates! Then I stopped for a few years, and my friend in secondary school had an ice skating party and I could barely even stand up!! Amazing how your skills change when you get older...

LOL there's no way I'd dare to try an ice skate. My kudos to you and any other true ice skaters
