Affiliations
NPS Mountain and Moorland Qualifying Rounds: These classes are judged under the Rules of the NPS. Ponies must be registered in the main body of their respective Mountain & Moorland Stud Books. Part breds are not eligible. Qualifying rounds for most NPS competitions are open to ponies owned by NPS members and nonmembers but only ponies owned by adult NPS Qualifying or Life members are eligible to qualify for the final of the competition at the NPS Summer Championship Show at Malvern from 5 th -7 th August 2015. The highest placed pony, if owned by an NPS member, in each class will qualify for the final. Qualification may pass down to third place if the first and second ponies are already qualified. NPS/Rosettes Direct Home Produced Ridden Championship - Riders of Home Produced ponies (see definition in the NPS Rules Book) can wear a white arm band in classes where this is indicated. These ponies, if owned by NPS members, are then eligible to qualify for the final at the NPS Summer Championship Show. From 2015 all qualifying ponies will receive a qualification card. The Owner’s Membership cards MUST be produced in the ring when requested or the qualification will be forfeit.
NPS Silver Medal Rosette Championships: These classes are judged under the Rules of the NPS. NPS Silver Medal Rosettes are only awarded when the owner of the champion pony is a Qualifying or Life member of the NPS. A valid membership card must be in the rider’s/handler’s possession on entering the ring and be produced immediately on request by either the judge or the steward. If the owner of the Champion pony is not a member, or the owner’s membership card is not immediately produced, the rosette may be awarded to the Reserve Champion provided they have the required membership card. If the Champion pony has previously qualified it is still entitled to the Silver Medal Rosette but the qualification card goes to the Reserve Champion pony, provided the owner of that pony is a member of the NPS. The Silver Medal Rosette and the qualification card can be awarded no lower than first Reserve (third). Foals are not eligible for Silver Medal Championships. Qualifiers are entitled to compete in the final of the Silver Medal Rosette Championship to be held at the NPS Summer Championship Show 4 th -6 th August 2015. NPS M&M Ridden Silver Medal Rosette Championship (SM-MMR) Sponsored by THE MINNS A Silver Medal Rosette is offered by the National Pony Society for the best registered pony owned by an NPS Qualifying or Life member in the M&M Ridden section. Membership cards must be presented in the ring to receive the medal and/or the qualification.
NCPA-** This show is a qualifier for the N.C.P.A. Pony of the Year Show on the 6th September 2015 at Robaston College, ST19 5PH. First and second prize winners in appropriate classes will qualify **
15+ Horse & Pony Events To qualify for the 2015 National Supreme Showing Championship Show on Sunday August 16th at Equifest, Peterborough the first, second and third highest placed 15+ horse/pony in the following classes 8, 20, 12, 24, 25-33, 37-48 will each qualify. To enter the National Supreme Showing Championship Show the rider/handler and horse/pony must register with 15+ Horse & Pony Events within 14 days of the qualifying show date. Dales Pony Society- A special/ performance rosette has been offered by the Dales Pony Society for the best registered Dales pony shown by an exhibitor who produces a current membership card in the ring.
Fell pony Society- This show is affiliated to the Fell Pony Society. Society rosettes will be awarded to the Young stock Champion, Adult in-Hand Champion and Ridden Fell Champion. Competitors must produce membership card in the ring in order to be eligible for the rosette.
Highland Pony Society- This show is affiliated to the Highland Pony Society. Champion In-hand and Champion ridden will receive a Highland pony society Rosette.
Highland Pony Enthusiasts Club- This show is in support of the Highland Pony Enthusiasts club. Winners from classes 13-24 will receive a HPEC rosette.
Northern New Forest Supporter Group- Special Rosettes are to be awarded to the highest placed New Forest Pony in classes: 26, 31, 32, 33, 39, 44 & 48 .
Yorkshire Dales Highland, Fell, Dales & show RULES:
1. Junior classes are subject to age classes are from the 1st January 2014. Please refer to the NPS Rule book, regarding Lead rein and First Ridden.
2. ALL riders must wear a correctly fitted helmet which has been passed with PAS015/ ENS1384 code.
3. ALL rider MUST wear head gear at all times whilst mounted anywhere on the show ground. This does NOT include Beaglers or Top Hats.
4. All juniors under the age of 16yrs must wear a hard helmet when handling in all classes.
5. Any horse/pony not kept sufficiently under control, will be asked to leave the show ground immediately by any judge, steward or official of the show.
6. Cantering on the show ground IS NOT permitted, except in rings and official working in areas.
7. The judge’s decision is FINAL in all classes.
8. Complaints or Objections are to be submitted to the show secretary within 20minuets of the class ending and must be accompanied by £20, which will be refunded if the complaint if upheld.
9. Entry fees will not be refunded, except in genuine cases of injury to horse which will need a veterinary certificate.
10. All novice classes are to be in snaffle bridles only.
11. Whips are not to exceed 30 inches.
12. We ask that all competitors remove their rubbish from the show ground. This field does get grazed on all season by horses. So please take it home!
13. No horse/Pony under the age of 4yrs shall be ridden. 13. All children must be over the age of 4ysr to compete.
14. **WE HAVE A ZERO TOLERANCE TO ABUSE** any competitor/ by standers or public creating a scene or being abusive to the judges/ secretary or officials. Will be immediately thrown off the show ground and banned for life. WE SHALL NOT TOLERATE BAD BEHAVIOUR at this show!
15. You must ensure that you have your own adequate insurance cover for you and your horse. The club and land owners and organisers will not accept no liability responsibility what so ever in the event of any loss, injury or damage done to any item, horse/pony or person taking part.
16. Mistreatment of any horse or pony on the show ground will result in permanent exclusion. Any one seen hitting, punching kicking or excessively whipping will be asked to leave the show ground, entries will not be refunded and you will never be able to return to this show

These classes are open to pure bred registered M&M ponies which are either stabled at home or in a DIY yard and which since 1st January in the current year have not been shown by a producer or stabled in a producer’s yard other than on a DIY basis or at stud. To be owned/kept, produced, ridden/handled by a person who does not derive their main income from working with horses/ponies. No professional producers are allowed into the ring to groom/strip the horse/pony. Please see NPS 2015 Rule Book, Sec A, 3.6 Please enter this class in the spirit it is intended. Competitors who contravene the above will be disqualified.

The NPS/HorseQuest UK Ltd M&M Novice First Ridden National Championship (MM-NFR) Open to registered Dartmoor, Exmoor, Shetland, New Forest, Welsh Section A or B, mares and geldings four years old or over not exceeding 128 cm. Riders must have attained their 3rd birthday but not reached their 12th birthday before the 1st January in the current year. 13. No horse/Pony under the age of 4yrs shall be ridden. 13. All children must be over the age of 4ysr to compete.
14. **WE HAVE A ZERO TOLERANCE TO ABUSE** any competitor/ by standers or public creating a scene or being abusive to the judges/ secretary or officials. Will be immediately thrown off the show ground and banned for life. WE SHALL NOT TOLERATE BAD BEHAVIOUR at this show!
15. You must ensure that you have your own adequate insurance cover for you and your horse. The club and land owners and organisers will not accept no liability responsibility what so ever in the event of any loss, injury or damage done to any item, horse/pony or person taking part.
16. Mistreatment of any horse or pony on the show ground will result in permanent exclusion. Any one seen hitting, punching kicking or excessively whipping will be asked to leave the show ground, entries will not be refunded and you will never be able to return to this show

These classes are open to pure bred registered M&M ponies which are either stabled at home or in a DIY yard and which since 1st January in the current year have not been shown by a producer or stabled in a producer’s yard other than on a DIY basis or at stud. To be owned/kept, produced, ridden/handled by a person who does not derive their main income from working with horses/ponies. No professional producers are allowed into the ring to groom/strip the horse/pony. Please see NPS 2015 Rule Book, Sec A, 3.6 Please enter this class in the spirit it is intended. Competitors who contravene the above will be disqualified.

The NPS/HorseQuest UK Ltd M&M Novice First Ridden National Championship (MM-NFR) Open to registered Dartmoor, Exmoor, Shetland, New Forest, Welsh Section A or B, mares and geldings four years old or over not exceeding 128 cm. Riders must have attained their 3rd birthday but not reached their 12th birthday before the 1st January in the current year. iv) Qualified for Horse of the Year Show or RIHS Ridden classes.
v) Qualified for the M&M Novice or Intermediate Ridden final at the NPS Summer Championship show (N.B. Ponies can compete as novices in this competition for two consecutive years provided they do not submit an entry to the final in the first year).
