Our bay roan colt Ziggy ( Envoy de Kingmaker) leaves us tomorrow morning. He's a very lucky boy because he has landed himself a fantastic new home with Zana Jackson in the UK. Many of you will know Zana because her family have been involved with Dales Ponies for many years, owning the Yorkshire Dales Trekking Centre in Malham, and more recently running horsey holidays at West Steart Farm in Devon. Zana takes in native ponies for breaking and schooling and breeds her own Dales under the Malhamdale prefix. But Ziggy's new adventure doesn't end there.... Zana's partner Jim owns and trains Thoroughbred racehorses and the family are relocating to Kentucky in America, the heart of the American racing industry. So if all goes to plan, Ziggy and his new Dales and flimsy TB pals will be eating Kentucky bluegrass by the Fall. Plans are for Ziggy to stay entire, and hopefully be licensed as a breeding stallion. He will be the first ROAN Dales Pony to set hoof on American soil, so it's nice to see him making a little bit of history for the breed. Safe journey Ziggy. They'll be a waterfall of tears here tomorrow, but we know you're in safe hands xx

What a great future for him, it will be sad to let him go but you must be thrilled, what an honour to be the first roan Dales pony in America. He is a fabulous little man.
Good luck Ziggy.

It seems like yesterday that the chap arrived, even with so much happening in between then and now! Where does the time go??? Ziggy is very well settled in his new life with the Malhamdales in our temporary home in Surrey. He is a complete joy to own with the excellent start in life Helen gave him. I also want to let people know, that if you do fall in love with one of Helen's foals, but the thought of buying from abroad puts you off - don't let it! Helen organises all the paperwork and travelling so well, that it is just like buying from the next county, not country.I'm rubbish at logging in on here, but will try and post some up to date photos of the not so little chap on here - he is growing fast.

Awwhh thanks Zana. I'm glad you feel he's a joy to own and doesn't present any problems To continue the mutual praise - I really couldn't ask for a better home for him. He's lucky to be an honorary Malhamdale pony. Very big hooves to fill xx
