Wow those are amazing photos! I've never seen a great spotted woodpecker in real life! I believe that's a female, am I right?

Pam, you just have to take lots of photos, I used to take really rubbish photos esp when I look back to the non digital pics cameras these days are so much better.
I remember when the first digital cameras came out my son borrowed one from where he was working after school, I said to him why do you want one of those I can't see the benifit over a film camera, oh how wrong was I lol

Lovely photos, we get lots of birds in the garden including Great spotted and green woodpeckers but I never manage to get good photos of them, you must have lots of patients Zelda.

These are all so gorgeous Zelda!!! Thank you so much for taking the time to post them on here I love the sparrowhawk: I'll get you my pretties and the adorable robin the blue tit is equally cute, and the woodpeckers are so stunning! Kudos on the pics, it must take a lot of patience to get them Have you considered selling the photos? I wonder if Conservation type places would pay for them, like the ones you took of the robin or blue tit? They seem really good to me.
