Today after feeding the steeds we found this weird plant on the footpath near the field. I've asked a few people what it is and no one has any clue. Just wondered if anyone had seen such a plant before... Attachments:

No idea, looks a bit like a fungus, but also the same sort of make up as horsetails - will have a look in my books tomorrow if no one has identified it, going to sleep now night night

Ahh yes I can see it now! So weird to see just the one growing all on it's own on the side of the path.

maybe it found a sandy place? Here the Native Americans called them Scouring rushes or reeds. The women used them for scrubbing their cooking utensils. It works well. I've used them when I was camping as a teen.
