Trouble is people buy a horse but don't realise their whole life will have to revolve around the horse and everything connected. Anyone can own a horse if they are dedicated enough but few are.

I cant see tack rugs etc on there. I think that is a very reserved estimate as well.

I daren't add it all up, especially if hubby's around, I have occasionally tried but I think I'd rather not know, I might come to the conclusion that I couldn't really afford it.

I think me n Richy did this a few years ago...am sure it was more ! But sadly anyone can own a horse..because many are so cheap

I don't dare put pen to paper, but where there's a will, there's a way. One thing that ticks me off is the perception that horse owners are money bags. I can't count the times I've seen items for sale for a cow, and it'll only be $10 but the same exact thing for a horse will be $30- $40
