Very successful first show of 2015

Mollie (Colmworth Miss Mollie) was really on song at the Sandringham Fell, Dales and friends Show on Saturday. She was really remembering all the lovely schooling she had been receiving over the past couple of months from Gill Fullen and was a totally changed pony from last year. Joy to ride - forward going and keen to show off. Really grown up at 7!

Carolyn Truss stepped in to do the in-hand mare class for me and she ran like a stag to really show Mollie's fabulous action off. They were second to a lovely mare who was the supreme champ at the end of the day. We won the ridden class with the best individual show she has ever done and totally out-moved everything else in the ring, so we were Ridden Champions and got the Reserve Supreme ticket! After lunch I did dressage and we did 2 very presentable tests to get 2nd and 3rd.

So we came home with lots of bling and a tired but happy pony.

I've never been to this show but really want to and had intended to go this year but it clashed with a team dressage competition I was in. Maybe next year.

Wonderful results well done Kate and Mollie

I had intended to go this year too and stay over for the pleasure ride on Sunday, but I didn't feel confident enough to take her this year. Hopefully next year, maybe Emerald will be up to it by then if I can persuade my daughter to come over for the weekend and we can take both ponies.

Thanks for lovely comments. She is muscling up well now. She looked a bit lean to me a few weeks ago but the grass is at last coming through properly which is what she needed. Living out 24/7 which is why her coat is slow to shed out, and I feed her very little hard stuff.
