Hard to believe its 2 years since Belle entered the world! Today she has had a special birthday present... In March we started renting a 5.5 acre field and moved Rory Duke and Belle. A friends mare joined us as a companion livery. Sadly we lost her a week last Saturday. I then did a lot of thinking and sent Jo an email asking if she knew oof any mares that might fit the bill as a potential broodmare / companion. She put me in touch with a lady and last Sunday I met Evie. Today I spent most of the afternoon picking her up. I seem to be going for 1 in every colour- we now have a bay, 2 blacks and a blue roan dales mare. Need a brown, a bay roan and a grey I guess.... She has quickly put Rory in his place and he really doesn't know what has hit him as I've never known anything tell him to go away firmly!

Happy birthday Belle. I hope she likes her present and they become best friends. Is Evie a youngster too? I have one in every colour but I cheated a bit because the seal-brown one is a Fell imposter
