four intrepid riders are raising funds for the dales pony centenary fund and cancer research by riding 100 miles in four days.They have set off this morning in Derbyshire and are coming up the pennine way to finish in Ravenstonedale on tuesday afternoon.Please support this effort as its quite a task.could somebody [Zelda} link the fund giving details to this post.Next year is going to be quite a year for the Dales pony www.gofundme.com/100milesfor100year Link added (Em) |

Have just donated - hopefully! Good luck to the intrepid riders. I'm impressed with the distances they are attempting. We are in the middle of the 5 day Lindum Spirit EGB and the distances I'm doing are just a fraction of theirs. Hope the weather keeps fine for the riders. |

they have just set off for day 2, flora was her annoying self to tack up which means she is fine, apparently one of the geldings loves her, lol, she wont be returning the love knowing her. Thank you to everyone who has donated, this is quite a feat to undertake.

It's rained a bit here this afternoon, but the forecast is not good for the next few days. At least they're half way now, fingers crossed for the rest of the ride.

they all got wet but are fine, just getting in.another long day for ponies and riders. At one point there was a very big bull in the field, that would have been me resigning.

Really hope the weather relents for them - such a shame to have to cope with grotty weather as well as those distances - very well done to everyone concerned for keeping going. Fingers crossed for the rest of the ride.
