Fabulous ride!

We held a DPS area 16 (Lincolnshire) ride yesterday from Rothwell village going up the dry valley with lots of cantering opportunities, over to one of the highest points in Lincolnshire and then back down through lovely parklands where we finished the ride off with a nice meal at the Blacksmith Arms. Despite it being a cold and windy day, it was a beautiful ride, stunning scenery and beautiful wild flower meadows. It is such a lovely ride that I'm thinking of using it for the Lincolnshire section of the Centenary ride next year.

We were too busy cantering for photos of the glorious dry valley but here are a few I took later on in the ride:

Stunning views, what a wonderful area to ride! I'm positively envious but Knight is probably underwhelmed. It's too hot here for him to think of doing more than walking from one mouthful of grass to the next. A day that required a jacket! I would love to see one of those anytime soon here. So glad you and Harvey enjoyed a lovely ride.

That looks a lovely ride Pam, you have more hills than us, I thought our ride yesterday was more hilly than I'm used to but not so much as yours. Surprised about the whether, it was a lovely day here

That does look like a lovely ride! Very inviting however did you keep the Dales going beyond those tempting green fields?
