Off to a 2 day ride tomorrow

Connie and I are doing our first Weekend ride, we're off tomorrow afternoon to Santon Downham which is deep in Thetford forest, and coming home Sunday afternoon. She is corralling and I'm sleeping in the box, hope it's not too cold at night, I've packed an extra duvet and my thermals and rugs for her.


There will be a 10 mile ride Saturday and Sunday and an informal hack Friday evening, the routes look lovely, Saturday is all in the forest and Sunday takes in the village of Santon Downham which has a ford through the river to have a splash around in, then the ride follows the river bank for a few miles past Grimes Graves, which is an ancient flint workings, before heading back  through the forest.


I've written my lists and got my stuff ready to go in and I'll pack Connie's stuff tomorrow morning, I'm getting very excited now and am looking forward to it, I'm going on my own but I feel ready to attempt this on my own now, there are 12 of us camping and more coming each day so I may find someone to ride with but I'm not too fussed, I'm happy to ride on my own in fact I think I'd quite like to.


I've packed my camera, just got to remember to use it.

The flint workings sound intriguing. I'm sure you and Connie will have a lot of fun this weekend I was going to say pack your woolies, but you're already ahead of me, and making your lists to tick off as you pack have fun

Yes I survived, I did take some photos but sadly my computer wont let me upload them from the camera, the driver seems to be missing since windows 10 was installed. I'll start a new thread with details.
