Had a fabulous PR in the forest today

I did ache a bit but soon loosened up and Connie and I enjoyed a lovely 10 mile forest ride accompanying my friend on her new Connemara, it was warm and bright and the forest tracks were lovely, both ponies behaved well, Connie has finally settled with horses in front of her after about 13 rides she now doesn't get so excited by it.  It was somewhat slower than the last 2 rides as Julia had no idea what Adam would be like but it was a lovely relaxed ride with time to enjoy the scenery, Connie settled with Adam and was not at all competitive with him, some horses we've ridden with she feels the need to race, which makes it less enjoyable.

Lovely ride which went some way toward making up for yesterday.

Lovely, glad you had a good ride today. I had the first EGB Pleasure Ride of the year. I rode with Sue and Eric and we had a lovely relaxed ride too. Harvey finally doesn't get excited when there are horses going past him - it has taken him years to calm down and now I worry that I'm pushing him too hard. He didn't want to trot up for the vet at the beginning or the end of the ride but it was on stoney concrete. During the ride itself he was fine.
