none ,we have finished lambing and foaling. It was an odd year ,last year.We had four absorbed ,which is new to us.The vet said she was seeing it all over and could only blame the weather. We got all but one of the visitors in foal so hope they have held.Lambing was bad last year as well but has been good this year.

Was that foals absorbed? I know ewes absorb lambs but I didn't know mares did too? Is Nelson a rose too?

yes Nelson is a rose, thank god for thousands of rose and clematis cultivars. The foals broke down and were absorbed before thirty days. We usually scan from thirteen days after last serving but because of the year being how it was we scanned again at about twenty-five days to see the foteus breaking up. The two that held were within a week of each other which was about three weeks of good weather in april. not easy is it.

They were scanned in-foal at 13/14 days after last service, but both returned in season a month later. Consequently our foaling season is going to be long and drawn-out this year, and we'll be weaning/training foals in the winter months Our french vet reported many similar cases, but had no idea why.... Hopefully, this year will be easier
