Thought I'd try and add just a couple of pics of our Pennine Relay ride yesterday for the benefit of anyone here not on FB (I think just Debbie? lol)....hope they work....
We'd intended to ride from Austwick in the Dales up to High Birkwith and back, a total of about 14 miles. But the bridleway was much harder going and slower than I'd thought, and then when we got to the top of the moor it started raining heavily.......so we turned back early. Had a fabulous long canter/gallop into the driving rain on 4 ponies who were rather keen to get back down off the dale! Thankfully the sun came back out and dried us off again so we were able to explore a few of the other bridleways round there. It's a gorgeous area and I'll definitely be back up there again sometime. The ponies all behaved very well, I was so pleased with Sammie. He's not been travelled anywhere very often and I wondered if he might be on his toes, but he was pretty chilled.

how lovely you got to ride in the Dales on Dales ponies. Sorry for the impromptu shower, but so pleased to hear the sun came out to let you do a bit of exploring all the same. It looks like everyone had a lot of fun, and Bravo Sammie!!! It's always a relief when they behave well
