She's been changing shape every few weeks for a few months and had to have her saddle widened then 4 weeks later narrowed again, then another 4 weeks down the line just a few days before her next saddle check she bolted with me as soon as I put her into trot and bucked me off very spectacularly, very unlike her. She had also refused to be caught with out me bringing Em in first for a couple of months and had become more jumpy than usual to ride and more fidgety than usual to tack up, so I thought there must be something going on with her back. I cancelled her saddle check and booked her in to see the osteopath asap, which was a month, so she had a month off and went to see Donna on Friday.
Donna found that she had very sore and inflamed Kidneys and did a lot of work on them, she said to give her a week off and gave her some golden rod. I took her for a saddle check this morning and we didn't get as far as putting the saddle on her back, she was extremely asymmetrical right along her back, she was 2-3 saddle sizes wider on the left than the right and when walking her left hip dipped more than the right, you could see the difference in her hips from behind just standing still. 8 weeks ago she was pretty much even both sides and Donna didn't say anything on Friday, which she would have done, so I'm think something has gone terribly wrong since then, possible to do with the kidneys or maybe just coincidence, she may have fell in the field over the weekend.
So I am now waiting for Donna to get back to me but looks as if she will be seeing her again very shortly, or maybe scans at vets if Donna can't find anything. I'm very worried about her, I have a feeling something is terribly wrong, I just hope we can get to the bottom of it quickly.
The silver lining is that it gives me more time to ride Em whist Connie is out of work and that is doing her so much good.
