JEthro has now been with me for just over a year. HE has settled down a lot, without losing any of his liveliness and inquisitive nature. WE are doing lots of hacking and am hoping to take him on his first pleasure ride in a couple of weeks time. ON Sunday we are going to the Catterick Garrison Saddle Club to do the Clear Round show jumping. WEll, JEthro is doing the jumping and a very competent teenager, who loves JEthro to pieces and has more riding years under her belt than me, is taking him in the ring. IN preparation he was clipped out this morning, not all of him, obviously! And very handsome he looks. SAdly, my twenty one year old cob, Corky, had to be put to sleep a month ago,which was very sad. HE loved endurance riding and am hoping JEthro will be the same.

Sorry for the second capital in the first word of sentences. IT is something outside my control. My iPad is to blame. I need to find a youngster who hads learnt the black arts of IT to set me right.

so sorry to hear about Corky. It's never easy. I had to laugh about your mention of clipping out Jethro. Just last night I was having to explain to a non horsey person why on earth people would be giving ponies haircuts going into winter  Congratulations on your year anniversary with Jethro  wishing you a lot of fun years of riding ahead

Commiserations about Corky The vet told me to clip Musk out AND turn him out without a rug to get the weight off him over winter  that's going to make me popular! If the photo is anything to go by he's got plenty of scope  |

Sorry to hear about Corky, I'm sure Jethro will do just as well for you at PR's, my 2 love them and Dales just have so much stamina, wishing you lots of fun with him in the future
