Last week we held an Autumn Presidents ride for the more southern Lincolnshire members as our summer one was in the more northern area - Lincolnshire is a big county! We held it at Temple Bruer which is a fabulous area to ride with lots of wide grassy verges and interesting bridleways. It is quite a fascinating area with some Knights Templer historic sites, ley lines etc. We were incredibly fortunate the weather had been good and although it was a dull day, it was dry and the going perfect. The autumn tree colouring was spectacular. All ponies were good apart from Harvey who decided to show himself up to the youngsters on the ride and had a few bronking sessions. Plus Rio, who was on his first ride in company, decided he was hot and needed to roll so suddenly went down during the ride with rider aboard! No harm done fortunately.

That sounds lovely, the colours are fantastic at the moment aren't they, had to laugh at Rio going down to roll, Emerald did the same with me in a lesson when she was young and inexperienced too, I yelled and she jumped up and has never done it since.
