 I just realized, since Blossom was actually imported prior to her 1st birthday, we've been able to celebrate them all together 12 years ago today, this little girl was born.... pic courtesy Heather Andrew   She's already had her morning hay and birthday song, complete with half an apple...her favorite!  later today will be turnout, and tonight the other half of her birthday apple Let's see if I'm lucky enough to get Blossom's pic over here from FB. If not, I'll endeavor to get some onto Photobucket, though that's been a prat lately.

Alison she still IS a youngster in her mind! Her whinny didn't deepen until she was around 6 years old, and even then not that much. She's just as apt to play more juvenile pranks than my younger ones. So far Blossom is LOVING this year's birthday! Let's see, breakfast in bed, half an apple. Then I went out and gave her second breakfasts while she got her hair done  honestly Mr Ireland, it WAS brushed! Then she promptly went out to the paddock and first thing she did was lay down for a decent roll to get twigs and bits of grass in it. Ah well, we did get a few hoopla! pics that my camera can't keep up with. Then it devolved into getting a drink and grazing. The whole time Dundee remained outraged I'd taken Blossom first (he's usually out there first) and when I did bring him out, she gave him a look like"Do we HAVE to??"  so clearly she'd been happy to have the whole paddock and mummy to herself just like when she was younger. Awwhh Facebook is having mental moments. I'll try to get them on here proper as quick as I can  Gooo pony! I love her lip  Taking a breather at the water trough. Again I just love her expression. This one captures her personality so well her ears are as adorable as ever!  |

Happy birthday Blossom! Lovely to see some current pics of her. She's still got that same look in her eye which she had as a foal. Such a character!

that she does. It's been fun to watch her grow, but her personality as a baby has always remained the same. I couldn't have asked for a better pony she's been loyal to me through some very low patches and makes me laugh. Every day when I go to fetch her in from the field, she belts across as fast as she can. It always takes my breath away. I love my others, but they don't hold the same spot in my heart like Blossom does. |

Everyone was inundated with pics of Blossom when I first got her, when she was a foalie at Mr Ireland's, her importing, etc. It was all very exciting, and I was afraid I'd overloaded everyone with Blossom chatter so I quieted down a bit. Plus as she got older, we got into a steady routine which is fun for us, but a little boring when everyone else is sharing things like rides, shows, having foalies, etc |
