We moved Scouty to a new home, as he was terribly lame at the last place..it was quite a hill. I spoke to the manager and asked for a stable with a door facing outside, due to his age and was a bit worried that the barn with other horses was a bit close and making him sweaty and it was dusty, she said when a place becomes available..... Now she's playing hard to get and still no firm decision and yes a space is available 😠...... I've asked again today, yes am a bit miffed, fortunately they're out for a few months..sorry for the vent 😤

Well this is the place to rant! I’m not a fan of rhe lack of control on a livery yard either. Hopefully he’ll get a more suitable spot soon. I sometimes think mentioning the words ‘veterinary advice’ can help.
How is Scouty doing? Do you have him on the little pink tablets?

How frustrating! Poor Scouty, I do hope he gets a better stable soon.

He went straight off his food on them !! So he's on crush aid and he's eating quite well, I'll have to see if things change..if not I'll mention the vet thing, good idea x

I've heard that's a side effect for a lot of horses. Good that he's doing well on Cush Aid though.

Yes, it is a side effect. Coming off them and then reintroducing slowly and a quarter of a tablet at a time can help.
Glad he’s doing well on the Cush aid instead though!

there's a stress you don't need! Hopefully you'll be able to get Scouty the perfect stall arrangement. So pleased he's doing well with his new tablets. And I agree, mentioning it's vet's advice will often get through so the manager doesn't think it's just the whims of the owner.
