Just testing sharing photos as I seem to have trouble. Frankie, Eve and Lily staring in amazement at the bubble wrap I've put round a gate post to stop itching bums.  It worked! |

Lovely pic x great idea about the bubble wrap, but I think if I tried that here John would eat it 🤣😂😂
Are you still using Photobucket to load pics on here? I am, but wondered if there was an easier way

LOL Alison, I had to remove it in the end because Eve started to eat it! Yes, I'm using photobucket which is strange because last year it stopped working. I think they started charging or something so I looked into other ways of posting pics but never got far. Thought I'd give photobucket another go yesterday and it worked fine.  Proboards do let you download from your phone but only if you pay an amount monthly which is no good for us. |

I went through and deleted a lot of my Photobucket images. Kinda wishing I hadn't as my computer died shortly thereafter  bye bye photos! I haven't logged into Photobucket after that, but they seemed at the time to be limiting photos, trying to get people to do the paid version. I'm using Flikr, but recently they sold to another company and the same thing. Although their limit is 1000 photos, and I doubt I'd ever max that many out. My current delimma is that after 20 some odd years of using a pc, I've bought a mac. Back in the very early days of computers (gasp! '89-'91) I used both systems equally. They do have differences, but back then I didn't think it was all that different. *cough... there are quite a few things I'm having to relearn and my camera/photos is one of them. Hahahah... I love all their expressions Pam!  the bubblewrap makes for a great photo, even if it didn't hold up to curious Dales pony inspections  |

Glad to hear photobucket works again, I must try and get some photos up. That is one thing FB is good for, lol!

Well that didn't last long! Yesterday I thought I'd post some videos of Eve out on a walk. I would quite like to keep a record of her on here rather than on FB. But suddenly Photobucket has decided it won't let me add anything to my bucket I really don't want to post photos on FB any more but did so yesterday just so a couple of people who knew Eve from way back can see how she is but have already deleted some. I hate FB with a vengence. |

It does often ask me if I want to subscribe when I sign on, but I just ignore it 😁
Is anyone using the dalesfans app rather than looking thru internet browser, I know nothing but wonder if you might be able to load photos easier thru that?

I use Tapatalk sometimes - is that what you mean? I had assumed you can't download pics that way but maybe I'm wrong. I will look into it.

I downloaded it via Google play. Lincolnshire trec have a proboards forum to make it easier for us on the committee to chat about things as it's so much better than setting groups up on FB. It took me a bit of setting up to get dalesfans and trec lincolnshire on tapatalk. In doing so I managed to make myself a member of a Spanish group called fellowship of the prancing ponies! No idea what they are because it's all in Spanish! I haven't tried posting photos yet though....

I honestly think being able to load videos and photos directly onto FB for sharing is the ONLY reason FB ever took off and remains open. I don't like that they claim they suddenly own all your photos and vid, but at the same time, I recognize once I've posted one of my photos, they probably get reused for all sorts of things. I still wonder if Proboards can come up with their own version of hosting photos and videos? It's a big stretch at this point, but if they could, it would help to revive the forum format. I seriously can't find anything on FB  but as it is now, we have to host our photos and videos elsewhere and then bring them over here. |
