I get mine from Mile end equestrian www.mileendequestrian.co.uk/They sell at very reasonable prices, free delivery, and they turn stuff around fast. Chickflick, I used to keep my pony whilst at college, and had Very little money, so used to share a tub with a friend on my yard, that worked out well. Now I work I can aford a whole tub to myself!lol!High living! This summer I have brought the D itch at the same time which has helped Ambers coat change. (she does not have swetitch, just gets ridicouly itchy at coat change time)

Well the early signs of this are encouraging. I have been having trouble with Zoe since the beg of April. Last week was a real low point for me when my RI described her as "challenging" and nearly came off her a couple of times . If she struggled with Zoe I stood no chance. 10 days ago I started her on oestress. Today I had my lesson and we had....... NO napping/spinning/refusing/taking off/not stopping and WENT OVER EVERY SINGLE BLOOMIN' HORSE STILE without batting an eyelid. Even when we turned back on one bridlepath because it was blocked I thought she would think we were going home but turned off away from home without a single incident. The only minor blight on today was the bloomin' flies annoying her. She will go in her stable now. Will lunge without making me dizzy. Will walk in hand at my pace. . It was like having my winter Zoe back again. If it's really this stuff that has brought about this change then it's magic ..... how she is next season will be the telling point I think.

3 months Claudy!! That's a long time between shoeing! Harley is lucky to get to 7 weeks before they are reduced to racing plates!!
I have a tub of electrolytes, and after extreme rides when he's worked VERY hard and sweated a lot, I offer him 2 buckets - one with plain water and one with electrolytes. He varies in which one he drinks, so I think he can smell/sense the electrolyte and takes it if he needs it. I've heard of horses getting poisoned with electrolytes due to the concentration in the blood making the horse feel not thirsty, so he doesn't drink, dehydrates and the salts build up. An FEI vet recommended always offerig both plain and treated water and I'm not going to diss his advise!

When Amber would not eat her Oestress, I mixed it with apple baby food and then mixed it with her feed. Worked a treat!

It's now 4 weeks since I started Zoe on oestress. The difference in her is amazing, I mean truly amazing. This week I have been back out hacking alone. Apart from getting caught singing, "I'm a little teapot" by a group of joggers it has been lovely. Naf Oestress gets the from me.

Just want to say thanks for the Mile End link, Ruthie. They sell Frontline for cats a third cheaper than I can buy from the vet!! Brilliant!

Sue, I never even noticed the front line! I shall order some for mine from there with my next order.
On the Oestress stuff, I can't stress my love for it, Amber has been on it for about three years, and I now have a pony I lend to nervous riders on the yard!

I love the stuff too. My moody mare turned into a soppy soul and even had a 5yo bareback jockey yesterday and really looked after him. It's fab!

NAF Electrosalts seem as palatable as any other to my munchkins. I only use them if they have sweated heavily though not as a matter of course. I think they are supposed to like them if they need them and leave them otherwise. Jo x
