I have been using the NAF Oestress supplement for one month (and have nearly used my 500g tub) and I've seen an improvement in Stumpy's mood in general. I was wondering, should I buy another pot - and how long should I keep her on it for? Also, has anyone used NAF Electrosalts and NAF seaweed before? Any comments? What effect/change did using them have? Thanks

I use NAF seaweed. D has a lovely glossy coat and lovely skin. I put it down to the seaweed - although I could be mistaken! The problem is, I darnt stop using it to find out!! LOL Especially in showing season!
He's not over fond on the taste of it - but food is food in the end to him so it goes down!!!

I think Stumpy quite likes her.
Stumpys is looking so shiny atm, I hadn't linked the seaweed to that - I thought it was for hooves?

My friend uses seaweed and before she started using it her horses shoes would drop off in less than 5 weeks, now they stop on for up to 3 months. Im interested in your viems on the oestress though cos my mare is terribly moody at the moment and awful when in season.

I have just started Zoe on Oestress. Friday to be exact, on the advice of a small animal vet who has his mare on it.
Claudy will let you know how I get on. She is in season now so I suppose I won't really know what, if any effects it's having for another 3/4 weeks. I am at the end of my tether (lol) with her. I can't believe 6 weeks ago I was hacking out alone for 2hrs most days on what I described at the time "my perfect pony". I don't recognise this beast I have in the field now.

Lisa used hormonise when Lea went onto 'beast mode' last year because of seasons! She had her lovely mare back within a week. Kept her on it all summer last year and had no probs with her. www.equinehealthandherbal.co.uk/attitude_range/hormonisepge.htmShe also had tender ovaries and this helped with those as well! This is why I bought a gelding! LOL

I use Oestress for one of my mares because of her travelling problems. Coincidence it may be, (I am not prepared to find that out though), but the showing season we did not start using Oestress before the first shows we had two horrendous journeys with her. One where she got so stressed she decided to try and climb through into the living of the horsebox and the other where she was still, but got colic. She is not a generally very moody mare, just a nervy traveller it seems. I use approx 1/3 a scoop every day (which is approx 1/4 of the dose it says on the tub). She is a happy traveller now.
I am not going to risk taking her off it just in case.
Personally I think it works.

I have been using Seaweed as Jasper's hooves where terrible when he first came, nearly a year ago, and it made a brilliant difference since he has been on seaweed. They aren't 100% but they are getting there. Oestress is brilliant, i had a mare that was very moody and found that i had to have her on it all the time, but you might find that Stumpy will not need it during the winter months. I think it is just planning it by ear.

Another Oestress fan, it fantastic. I buy the massive 3 KG tubs, its much cheaper, £64, I have never had a problem with it going off.
